What Is Scoring?

Scoring is the process of cutting a small groove on the surface of the concrete to create a desired pattern such as squares or diamonds. Normally these patterns are no smaller than 24” x 24” and require a minimum of an 8” border around the room to be scored.

Scoring can beautifully accentuate a room by drawing the eye from one pattern to the other and is less expensive than stamped concrete.

Turn Your Ordinary Concrete Slab Into a Spectacular Showplace with Concrete Polishing

Concrete is fast becoming the ultimate no-wax flooring material!

With advances in polishing equipment and techniques, we are restoring concrete surfaces, new and old, to a high-gloss finish that never needs waxing or coatings. More and more retail, warehouse, office facilities, restaurants, showroom floors, garages and interior residential are opting for concrete polished floors as an alternative to marble, travertine, tile, linoleum, or coated surfaces.

Home owners are catching on to the appeal of these smooth, high-luster floors which can be stained to replicate the look of polished stone. In addition to the aesthetic appeal as a glossy surface, concrete surfaces are easy to maintain and clean, requiring only occasional damp mopping while holding up well to high traffic. A variety of colors are available to stain the floor and various levels of sheen are available depending on the degree of reflectivity desired.
